Analyzing your grain is an essential part of any farming operation and having the right equipment makes a significant difference not only in the quality of your grain, but also the time spent monitoring it. Flaman carries a variety of both stationary and portable grain analysis equipment for all of your grain monitoring needs, whether it be for commercial or on-the-farm use. We carry Perten grain moisture and protein testers, as well as the Labtronics 919 Moisture Meter and the Perten Falling Number Analyzer.
The Labtronics Model 919 Moisture Tester is a rugged and durable piece of equipment, built to last in tough agricultural environments due to its die-cast aluminum housing. It delivers accurate moisture readings in under one minute, and it is easily transported for on-farm use under any field conditions. These features make the Labtronics 919 a reliable and economic solution for your moisture testing needs. Our lineup of moisture meters also includes the Perten Aquamatic 5200-A, 5200-Farm, and 5800 models, which are used for measuring moisture, test weight, hectoliter weight, and temperature in a variety of grains, oilseeds, beans, lentils, and seeds. Utilizing the Unified Grain Moisture Algorithm (UGMA), these models are the most accurate and repeatable moisture meters available.
We also carry the Perten Inframatic 8800 and 9500 Protein Testers, which feature Near-Infrared (NIR) technology and are designed for fast, accurate analysis of moisture, protein, and oil in a wide range of grains and oilseeds. The AM 5800 Moisture Meter and the IM 8800 Protein Tester are specifically designed for portable, on-the-farm use. Since the weather in Western Canada is unpredictable, we also carry Perten’s Falling Number Analyzer, a machine that will detect alpha-amylase activity to detect sprout damage.
